I understand that Mickey has notified all of you through email about me purchasing Pixie Doodles and gave you my name, site addy and contact info. I thought she wrote a very nice intro. :)

I bought Pixie Doodles on February 22nd but I still have no access to the members area, any of the files or any content in the site. The main home page is blank right now and I understand that the member's area is not working either. I cannot do anything with either one of these areas as I cannot get into the site in any way, shape or form and believe me I have tried. Mickey just got back to me and let me know that I have to purchase a hosting site but as I already have one and do not plan to buy another one the site will just expire. Mickey is now sending me the files through zipped emails.

Mickey mailed me a list of past and present members so I guess I will have to go through the entire list and contact members one by one in regards to what I have written here. I just hope everyone has kept their contact up to date and gotten the message that Mickey sent out about the the new ownership. You will not be able to ask Mickey any of these questions as she told me that she closed down all the Pixie Doodles email accounts which is understandable as I am supposed to have all the answers to your questions as your new owner. Oh my, I sure hope I do. *grins*

I am sure you have many questions and you are wondering what is going on with the Pixie Doodles site. Let me try to answer as many questions and concerns as I think you might have and then

I create all my own pixel drawings and want to keep my site as unique as possible however I also wanted to boost my content quickly. Everything I make is mouse drawn in Window's Microsoft Paint program or sketched by me and then loaded into the program and worked on in Paint ~ because of this I do not make a lot of content quickly. I have a LOT of pixeled drawings already in my computer and am still correcting the damage caused by three successive harddrive failures and revising my work as I repair these damaged graphics. In an effort to give my members more of everything now I tried to boost my content by joining a couple of pixel web sites and have been buying some limited edition outlines for my site in order to remain unique. As these outlines still require pixeling by me I decided to purchase another website to incorporate it into my own site so that I could take my time making more of my own graphics. I was looking for original content and not copycat creations that were the work of someone else. Pixie Doodles contained all original art work and not the work of other sites which is exactly what I wanted.

I had a look at the main page ... the site was obviously dead ... it said it was for sale, had no content, had no links to graphics, etc. but it did have just three links activated for home, contacting Mickey and to show samples of what was for sale. I planned to purchase Pixie Doodles, close the site down and transfer all the content into my site.

After some purchase negotiations it came as a complete surprise to know that the site had members in it. I had no intention of keeping two websites going (nor can I afford the high cost of running two) and I didn't know there were members in the site when I first began negotiating the purchase of Pixie Doodles however I still intended to purchase the site and do what I originally planned. Mickey and I discussed these things together.

As I was buying the content and not the name or the site ... Pixie Doodles will no longer exist and the website will expire, as will its Domain name on March 11th. Everything (all content, graphics, outlines, tuts, etc.) formerly known as Pixie Doodles will now be known as AngelBreath Designs. Any agreements that you had with Pixie Doodles expires with the site closing as do all contracts and memberships. The fact that the site is closing anyway makes no difference to me because, as I said, I was not buying the site I was buying the content. However, I did not know the site would expire as soon as I bought it ... apparently once it changes hands they close it down. Not very nice of hosting companies ... no warning ... no notice to the new owner ... just close it.

I am finally getting content from Pixie Doodles and will begin loading it into my site as soon as possible ... please bear with me through the transition. I had planned to keep the old site open to members as I did this to give everyone time to adjust but unfortunately this is no longer a possibility. I apologize for any inconveniences but I have no control over this.

My pixel site is brand new as of February 15th, 2008 however my main website has been around since 1997. I do not plan to close or sell my site and you can expect it to be online for a while. :)

I know some of you are lifetime members of Pixie Doodles but I haven't offered that option on my own website yet as my web site is brand new. I wanted to get enough content to be able to add that option and I plan to charge $75 for lifetime when I feel it is appropriate ... perhaps by next year. What I will offer former Pixie Doodles members is the same low price I am advertising now as a grand opening special of $30 a year until I do make lifetime memberships available. As not everyone tubes or wants a tube license, the tube license is a seperate one time fee.

I understand that Pixie Doodles had no Terms of Use ... I do have TOUs and they must be used.

I would love for you all to continue as members of my own site but it is up to you as to whether or not you will feel happy here. I hope you will at least consider it. I know you are all familiar with what was in Pixie Doodles and I do have some samples of my own work for you to see.

HOWEVER

What I would like is feedback from everyone on what you are looking for, your thoughts and whether or not you would like to join my site. Please do not write to me in a nasty manner as I simply will not respond nor will I consider you as a member of my site. (I hear 'horror stories' from other owners. LOL) If you are feeling angry I kindly suggest you reread this page a few times to understand what I have said for it is obvious that you have not understood what was written. Neither Mickey nor I have done anything wrong ... this was simply business. 'Nuff said. *smiles*

Keep in mind that I have a website to maintain with all of its own costs and had to pay out a large sum of money to purchase Pixie Doodles. I have my own work and will not give it away for free ... I have put too much time and effort into my creations. The content of Pixie Doodles is being added to my own and all of it will be now known as AngelBreath Designs and subject to my TOUs as well.

I will be uploading most of Pixie Doodle's graphics into my site as soon as possible however those that I do not feel are up to my standards will be either upgraded (redone or redrawn) or deleted. I want to offer my members the best graphics I can. I do not have stats available at this time and perhaps never will. Stats are not important to me ... what is important is original content ... and happy members.
